Lighters : Bugatti BL400

One of the most essential accessory for smoking cigars is having a dependable lighter that will light your smoke effortlessly, especially if you're on the go. I had change several lighters from made in China to disposable plastic. Each lighter has their pros and cons, until I decided to invest in a good lighter.

I found the Cigar Lighter Reviews to be very good source of information. After finding the lighter that meets my requirements, I used Lighters Direct to purchase online. The delivery was fast and I had no problem with their services.

The lighter I was looking for has to meet several criterion.

  • Built in puncher
  • Not oddly shaped
  • Preferably twin flamed
I found the Bugatti BL4 to meet all my requirement, with the bonus factor that it looks good. It comes in 3 colors of matte black, chrome satin and gunmetal satin. I chose the matte black with the eye popping bright red lettering.

The size is similar to a Zippo Lighter and will fit nicely into the coin pocket. Even opening the cover has a nice "TING" sound to it, bringing back memories of my old Zippo.

The 8mm puncher at the bottom is sharp and well made. The slight spring makes it easy to stow away the puncher when you're done with it. With the nub in place and the spring mechanism, cut out from cigars tend to eject out. I love it! No more fiddling and poking around with my pinkie.

The only downside to this lighter is the cartridge has to be removed from the metal casing to be refilled. Some find it a hassle, but what's a few extra seconds to just pull it out? I do wish there was a gauge to see the gas level so removal of the cartridge is not needed.

Last but not least, the flame on this lighter is great! The twin flames are built toward each other, resulting in more intense heat.

There is another similar lighter by Bugatti of different style. It has a classy look but the cartridge built is the same.

San Cristobal de la Habana Oficios

San Cristobal de la Habana Oficios

This cigar has been sitting in my humidor for nearly 6 months, awaiting for the right occasion. A delightful smoke with good draw and flavor. Yet it doesn't impress me that much. Taste of floral and nuttiness mix with a little hint of pepper, but under powered overall. Although enjoyable smoke, I wouldn't go out of my way to smoke em. Maybe stopping production was a good call.
